Review: Essence Velvet Matte Lipstick

Hi loves! I haven't tried much Essence lipsticks, but some time ago I did pick up 2 of their Velvet Matte Lipsticks and the shade are 08 and 23 (3.8g, 2.25 EUR).

These come in a matte lipstick tubes, one is in black tube and the other one is in a nude one. I'm not sure why the packaging is different, but these are from the same range.

The formula of both lipsticks is creamy and glide easily on lips. I'm not sure why its velvet matte range as both lipsticks has satin finish border lining with shiny. Because of the formula these feel comfortable on lips and doesn't dry them out. I haven't experience any bleeding with these and they haven't moved outside of my lip lines (that usually never happens to me anyway).

Both shade are pigmented and full of color, you can see the swatches down below. The shade 08 is perfect nude. You can't go wrong with this shade. It goes well with any look and when I don't know what kind of lip I wanna wear I go with this. The other shade 23 is warm peachy shade, which I do like to pair up with colder eye look. Its also a shade I like to use daily.

These do come off when you eat or drink. When I don't do anything, no eating or rubbing my lips together (bad habit) it stays put for hours. Also these have no weird taste to them or super strong scent. There is slight sweet scent, but its hardly noticeable.

I'm very happy with these new gems in my collection and you can't beat the price point. If you where wondering Essence doesn't test on animals :)

Which is your favorite Essence product?

Review: Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

Hi loves! I always set my makeup with some kind of spray and usually I go for the Urban Decay All Nighter. I have been testing out a new setting spray, which is Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist (80ml, £16.00).

The spray comes in a light pink packaging and has traditional Pixi green cap. It sprays out the products evenly and I have been using it to set my makeup everyday. It also can be used under the makeup as a primer or through out the day to refresh the skin.

Its infused with rose water and green tea to replenish moisture, provide antioxidant protection and sooth the skin. Its not tested on animals and is paraben free Its best suited for combination to oily skin type beauties. I totally agree with the moisture effect it has. It makes my skin feel comfortable and takes away the powdery look.

How to use: Before spraying shake it up. Close the eyes and spray it on the face and neck.

It does make my makeup last longer and I feel like I don't get as oily in the t-zone as I usually do. The big question is: Is it better then the All Nighter? I have to say no. All nighter is still my number one, but the Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist is better for me when the weather is colder, because of the hydration it provides.

Overall its a good setting spray and I would buy it again when wether is cold. For spring and summer I need something bit stronger. If you are interested in this, its available on Cult Beauty (link).

Have you tried any Pixi setting sprays?

Review: BYS Cosmetics Fantasy Palette

Hi loves! I have been playing with new colorful matte eyeshadow palette from BYS Cosmetics. Its their Fantasy Palette, which reminds me one of Kat Von D palette's (link). They makes affordable eyeshadows and I payed for it less then 10 euros.

It comes in a tin packaging and contains a mirror, brush and 12 matte eyeshadows. I tossed the brush, as I do like to use my own brushes. The packaging of it is perfect for traveling. It does remind me the Urben Decay Naked palette packaging. The palette closed securely and is perfect for traveling.

The quality of the shadows is okay and I can make beautiful eye looks with it. The blue shades are harder to apply and get a vivd color, but the warm tones are beautiful. Its easy to blend out all the colors and these work well with other powder shadows. I didn't experience any fall out when using these, but I always tap off my brush.

Also the staying power was great with these. I didn't experience any creasing with these shadows (I always wear eyeshadow primer under every eye look).

Down below you can see the swatches of all the shadows. These are all applied with finger tip. You can see the warm tone shadows swatched much better then the others. My favorite shadows in the palette are Fantasia, Charmed, Fairy Tale and Wish.

I did an eye look for you with this palette, so you can see how the shadows apply and blend. Its so effortless to work with them. In the look I do stay to the side where warm tone shadows are. If you would like another look with this palette let me know :)

Overall I do like this palette. I don't mind the blue tones to be more powdery then other shadows. I can create some beautiful looks with it and I do enjoy at least half of the palette a lot. I picked mine up in Kaubamaja, last time I was in Estonia. I did found it only available on the brands Australian page (link).

Have you tried the brand before?

Best of Beauty 2017: Skincare, Body & Fragrance

Hi loves! Its the second part of this post, you can see the first post here. In this we are exploring all the skincare, body care and a scent I discovered in 2017 :)

Body & Fragrance:

Lets start with a fragrance and I have been loving in 2017 Sisley Izia eau de Parfum (30ml, 78 EUR, review). This is perfect summer scent, with floral notes and it has bit of sweetness to it.

The next one is a hand cream from Jo Malone. Its the Vitamin E Hand Treatment (100ml, 52 EUR, review) and its the best one I have ever tried. I don't think I have ever been that into a hand cream. It keeps my hands so soft.

Skincare:

Next is Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser (100ml, $16.99, review). I love to use it when I do 10 step skincare routine. It removes all the dirt off my skin, but is gentle at the same time.

I also have been loving By Wishtrend Mandelica Acid 5% Skin Prep Water (120ml, $22.00, review). This makes my skin look lovely and smooth. I love how nice my skin looks whenever I use it. I also didn't have any this time of the month brake outs when using it.

Best eye serum ever is Premier Prestige Eye Serum (35ml, $349.99, review). It makes my under eye area look so smooth and takes care of those annoying fine lines <3

What has kept my lips smooth is Sensai Total Lip Treatment(15ml, 88 EUR, review). I run out of it today in the morning, which is sad, as its my favorite lip treatment. I use it morning and evening to have smooth, plump lips :)

I have 2 mask favorites and the first is Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask (90ml, $27, review). This is night mask and whenever I use it the next day I have hydrated and firmer looking skin. I sometimes use it as a day cream as well. I love what it does to my skin.

The last item in this post is Premier Miracle Noir Mask (60ml, 133.79 EUR, review). This is super nourishing mask and I love to do it in the evenings. It plumps the skin and makes the fine lines softer and less noticeable.

This is it for my yearly faves. I do hope you enjoyed this post. I love every single product in this list and I have a backup of some of them ;) Let me know in the comments which are your faves.
